DPTC Sensitization Training for Teachers .

During the month under-review, MHEI organised Second Batch of training on DPTC with 50 secondary school teachers in the city of Abuja from Bwari, Kuje and Gwagwalada in Federal Capital Territory. In all 45 out of the 50 participated in the two days training program, which was conducted in two Batches (Batch 1 and Batch 2) which was done in two different training hall for two days 21st and 22nd of November, 2019. Participants were trained based on the UNODC module which was from module 1-7, 10 and 11. The trainings started at 9am everyday with introduction on the first day while a recap was done on the second day, also each module took at least 45 minutes and 15minutes for questions and answers. The main objective of training of the training was to increase the awareness of teachers towards drug use, dependence prevention and care in Abuja. There were concurrent sessions for the two batches of teachers in two venues with two different facilitators. A pre and post test was conducted on the first and last day respectively, also, daily evaluation of activities and on the final day was final evaluation.  Mr Oyinlola and Mr Zion Ameh coordinated the presentation of certificates to participants on the last day of the training.
