DPTC Training for religious leaders

During the month under-review, MHEI organised another Batch of training on DPTC with 30 religious leaders in the city of Abuja Federal Capital Territory. In all 26 out of the 30 participated in the two days training program, which was conducted online via zoom for the day 1 training for all 30 participants on the 15th of july, 2020 while day 2 was conducted in two Batches (Batch 1 and Batch 2 with 15 religious leaders in each of the group) which was done in two days 16th and 17th of July, 2020. Participants were trained based on the UNODC module which was from module 1-7, 10 and 11. The trainings started at 9am everyday with introduction on the first day while a recap was done on the second day, also each module took at least 45 minutes and 15minutes for questions and answers. The main objective of the training was to increase the awareness of religious leaders towards drug use, dependence, prevention, treatment and care in Abuja. A pre and post test was conducted on the first and last day respectively, also, daily evaluation of activities and on the final day was final evaluation Mr Zion Ameh and Miss Khadijat.A.Shuahib coordinated the presentation of certificates to participants on the last day of the training.
